Houston
Big man Aron Baynes has been upgraded to questionable for Sunday's game against the Houston Rockets at TD Garden, the team announced Saturday. Baynes hasn't played since Feb. 1 due to a left foot contusion and has played in just 34 of Boston's 63 games this season. The 6-foot-10, 260-pound center gives the Celtics much-needed size in the frontcourt, though, and would be a key add for the Celtics as they stare down a stretch of six straight games against Western Conference opponents. Bradley Beal heaps praise on good friend Jayson Tatum after Celtics beat Wizards originally appeared on nbcsportsboston.com The Boston Celtics' Jayson Tatum and Washington Wizards' Bradley Beal walked into the TD Garden arena together Friday night, hours before they were set to oppose each other in a Celtics victory. It was a reminder of the tight bond between the two proud St. Louis natives, whose upbringings in basketball ran startlingly parallel despite their five-year age difference: Beal and Tatum both played their AAU basketball for the legendary St. Louis Eagles club, which has since been named Bradley Beal Elite. Some late defense helped the Boston Celtics snap a four-game losing streak. Kyrie Irving had 13 points and 12 assists, Al Horford scored 18 points and the Celtics shut down the Washington Wizards in the fourth quarter in a 107-96 victory Friday night. Boston won for the first time since the All-Star break to avoid its first five-game skid in more than four years. Continue to Article
