The Washington Capitals acquired defenceman Nick Jensen from the Detroit Red Wings, in exchange for Madison Bowey and a 2020 second-round pick. Buffalo Sabres GM Jason Botterill gave head coach Phil Housley the “vote of confidence” on Wednesday. In an interview with reporters including The Buffalo News' Mike Harrington and The Athletic's John Vogl, Botterill said that he is not looking to make a coaching change.
