Boston
But he was finally rewarded on Friday night with the hard-working goal just as the "fourth line" has been rewarded with more and more ice time as they've continued to play good hockey. Excellent game for Jaroslav Halak, who made 30 saves for the Bruins -- including a big stop toward the end of the first period, where Torey Krug had thrown a blind pass to Max Jones right in the slot area. Jones got off a point blank shot at the Boston net, but Halak stood tall to turn away the premium scoring chance. Continue to Article

With one victory in their last seven games as they cling to the final wild card spot in the Western Conference, Minnesota Wild head coach Bruce Boudreau is feeling confident about getting in the Stanley Cup Playoffs and putting up a fight. One game into life without David Pastrnak for the foreseeable future, things were pretty okay with the Bruins. Boston
Even before David Pastrnak went down with an injury on Tuesday, the Boston Bruins were a team that was short on scoring depth. All season their offense has been carried by the same four or five players, with Pastrnak being one of the best. Without him, it obviously makes the lineup even thinner and is going to put a lot more pressure on the likes of Patrice Bergeron, Brad Marchand, David Krejci, and Torey Krug to do even more. BOSTON -- It was a span of 13 games and over a month since Jake DeBrusk had scored a goal, so it had to feel like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders when he finally broke through his goal-scoring slump. DeBrusk scored Boston's fourth goal of the game in the second period of Boston's 6-3 win over the Chicago Blackhawks at TD Garden, and in doing so ended up with both the game-winner and a massive step toward regaining his own confidence. You just try to build from there and put your best foot forward," said DeBrusk. Continue to Article
