The Vegas Golden Knights will try to snap a franchise record five-game home losing streak when they play host to the Nashville Predators on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The second-year Golden Knights, who lost just 10 times on their home ice during their entire inaugural regular season (29-10-2), are in danger of going winless during a four-game homestand that began with a 4-3 setback to Columbus on Saturday and was followed by losses to Arizona (5-2) on Tuesday and Toronto (6-3) on Thursday. Pekka Rinne made 34 saves, Viktor Arvidsson scored and the Nashville Predators beat the Montreal Canadiens 3-1 on Thursday night. Ryan Hartman and Brian Boyle also had the goals for Nashville, which snapped a three-game skid. Coach Peter Laviolette put them through practice Wednesday working on a few issues, like a power play that has produced just three goals in 49 opportunities over the past 14 games. Nashville also has allowed the first goal in 31 of its 59 games. P.K. Subban of the NHL's Nashville Predators has done his best to welcome home Lindsey Vonn and into retirement. Subban tweeted out video Tuesday of Vonn returning to Nashville, Tennessee, saying she was back in the mix and officially retired. Vonn walked in after an 18-hour flight greeted by a balloon bouquet reading "Officially ReTiRed" and a cake made to look like a goat complete with a medal around its neck and both skis and pink ski poles on the side. Vladimir Tarasenko put on quite a show to keep the St. Louis Blues' winning streak alive. Tarasenko completed a hat trick by scoring 16 seconds into overtime , and the Blues held off the Nashville Predators 5-4 on Sunday, stretching their streak to a season-best six games.
