DeMarcus Cousins scored 14 points in his much-anticipated Golden State debut and Stephen Curry once again sparkled as the Warriors won their seventh straight game with a 112-94 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday. Cousins shot five-of-11 from the floor, grabbed six rebounds and had three three pointers before fouling out after just 15 minutes of playing time. This winning thing has become a habit for the Brooklyn Nets — and apparently no deficit is too large to overcome lately. D'Angelo Russell matched his career high with 40 points and the Brooklyn Nets came back after trailing by as many as 21 points to beat the Orlando Magic 117-115 on Friday night. D'Angelo Russell drained a clutch three pointer with 27 seconds remaining as the Brooklyn Nets rallied from a 21-point deficit to defeat the Orlando Magic 117-115 on Friday. Russell equalled his career high total with 40 points and his three pointer gave them the lead for the first time since they opened the scoring with the first basket of the contest. Spencer Dinwiddie scored 18 of his 20 points in the second half for Brooklyn, who posted their 16th win in the last 24 games. Continue to Article

Paul Pierce, who spent 15 years with the Celtics and helped deliver Boston a championship in 2008, explained Tuesday on ESPN's "The Jump" why he had no issues with Irving's comments. "However he has to do it to wake them up," Pierce said. Continue to Article

Terry Rozier gets real about Kyrie Irving's criticism of Celtics originally appeared on nbcsportsboston.com We'll say one thing about the 2018-19 Boston Celtics: They're not afraid to speak their minds. Kyrie Irving certainly did so Saturday night when he seemed to call out the Celtics' young players after a loss to the Orlando Magic. We've since heard from a few of those young players, with Jayson Tatum endorsing Irving's message and Jaylen Brown perhaps suggesting Kyrie tone it down a bit. Continue to Article
