Artemi Panarin flapping his arms to mimic Evgeny Kuznetsov's goal celebration for the final insult, but the defending Stanley Cup champions were more concerned about a potentially significant injury. Panarin scored in overtime for the second consecutive game to give the Columbus Blue Jackets a 2-1 victory over the Washington Capitals on Saturday night. The Capitals and Columbus Blue Jackets meet for third time this season on Saturday as the Blue Jackets come to town in snowy Washington (7 p.m, NBC Sports Washington). The Blue Jackets did not skate Saturday so it is unclear who will start in net, but presumably Sergei Bobrovsky will get his first start since a mysterious incident that led to an unofficial one-game suspension by the team. Considering how tight-lipped NHL players can be even about the most mundane subjects, Sergei Bobrovsky deserves credit for being patient with the media in addressing the incident that essentially prompted the Columbus Blue Jackets to unofficially suspend him for Thursday's eventual win against the Predators. Of course, this is the NHL and Jim Lites isn't involved, so Bobrovsky's comments aren't the most candid, prompting us to read way, way too much into things.
