Brad Marchand, for one, cautions about putting too much emphasis on the 14th straight loss. "It can be frustrating [losing to the Capitals again], but we had a really good effort tonight," said Marchand, who finished a minus-3 with no points in a really tough night for the Perfection Line, after Thursday's game. "We kind of controlled the play the whole way through and really the only looks they had were their goals and a couple [of plays] late when we were forcing [the offense]. Continue to Article

There are few people that would have the courage to attempt to flip Zdeno Chara over the boards and toss him into the bench. Chara, the NHL's tallest player ever at 6-foot-9, was flipped head over heels into the Capitals' bench on a shove from the 6-3 Ovechkin late in the first period. The TD Garden crowd gasped, but play continued and there was no immediate on-ice retaliation. Continue to Article

Boston

You're forgiven if this might sneak up on you, but this is the first time these two teams will face off since the memorable season-opener when the Capitals bombarded the Bruins 7-0. Naturally, this also means that this is the first time that Lars Eller can exact revenge – or, perhaps, take a foolish penalty trying to exact revenge – on Brad Marchand, who memorably went after Eller after the Dane rubbed him the wrong way with a goal celebration during the blowout.
