According to totals released by the league Thursday, James is the first player to get more than 1 million votes (1,083,363) for the Feb. 17 showcase at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, N.C. Based solely on the first round of fan voting, LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo would serve as captains from the Western and Eastern conferences, respectively, which is entirely appropriate. Los Angeles Lakers star playmaker James received the most votes with 1,083,363 to pace the Western Conference frontcourt while Milwaukee Bucks forward Antetokounmpo led the Eastern Conference with 991,561 votes in the first fan ballot returns.
