It was an All-Star night for Joe Pavelski and Brent Burns. Pavelski and Burns each had a goal and three assists, Martin Jones made 31 saves and the San Jose Sharks held off the slumping Colorado Avalanche 5-4 on Wednesday. Up until Sharks goaltender Martin Jones made one last save in the final seconds of the game to solidify the Sharks' 5-4 victory, it looked the game could have gone either way. But the Sharks held on to win, even when one of their key players was injured in the first frame. "It was a crazy game," Brent Burns told Sharks radio broadcaster Jamie Baker after the game. Really, the Penguins are just following the script they’ve laid out in years past: trick everyone into thinking they’re finally donzo only to rise from the proverbial dead at some point during the season and slide into the playoffs like a well-timed direct message.
