General manager Pater Chiarelli, who appears to be doing everything to save his job, kicked things off by sending Chris Wideman and a 2019 third-round draft pick to the Florida Panthers for defenceman Alex Petrovic last week. It probably wasn’t exactly how the Tampa Bay Lightning had it drawn up, but they were able to win their fourth game in a row on Thursday night with a wild 6-5 overtime win against the Philadelphia Flyers. After 40 minutes on Thursday it looked like the Lightning were going to cruise to a blowout win with a three-goal lead entering the third period. The NHL-leading Tampa Bay Lightning rebounded again following another dismal third period against the Philadelphia Flyers. Alex Killorn scored 18 seconds into overtime and the Lightning, after blowing a three-goal lead in the third, extended their point streak to 13 games Thursday night with a 6-5 win over the Flyers.
