Tampa Bay
Once all the fighting was finally done, the Tampa Bay Lightning looked up and found themselves in a familiar position: ahead on the scoreboard. Nikita Kucherov had a goal and an assist to reach 50 points this season and lead the Lightning past the Vancouver Canucks 5-2 on Tuesday night. A feisty Canucks squad kept pace with Tampa Bay in a heated game marked by a flurry of brawls, but couldn't overpower the top team in the NHL. Continue to Article

Edmonton
A long look at a close call helped the St. Louis Blues take two points Tuesday night and left the Edmonton Oilers scratching their heads. For the game, the Oilers were shorthanded five times to just one power play (though, in fairness, two of the Oilers’ penalties were delay of game penalties while a third was a too many men on the ice call). Edmonton
Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers look awfully comfortable at home lately. McDavid had two goals and an assist, Leon Draisaitl added three assists and the resurgent Oilers beat the Philadelphia Flyers 4-1 on Friday night. Mikko Koskinen made 31 saves and is 7-0-0 on home ice this season. Continue to Article
