In the years the Chicago Blackhawks were annual Stanley Cup contenders, the Colorado Avalanche seemed to find ways to beat them despite being a perennial lottery team. The script is flipped this season and it's the Blackhawks who are struggling while the Avalanche are near the top of the Western Conference standings. They used five goaltenders down the stretch, one of which was 36-year-old accountant Scott Foster in an emergency situation. The Chicago Blackhawks added another difficult question to their long list of problems when Corey Crawford suffered another concussion. Nothing has really gone right for the Chicago Blackhawks as of late. The firing of Joel Quenneville and hiring of Jeremy Colliton hasn’t done much to rekindle the club’s glory days.
