The Los Angeles Lakers were left bemused on Saturday as Lance Stephenson was called for a technical foul following his air guitar celebration. Stephenson was running back down the court after making a three-pointer late in the third quarter of the Lakers' 128-100 win over the Charlotte Hornets when he mimicked a guitar in the direction of opposing rookie Miles Bridges. The seemingly harmless celebration attracted the attention of the referees and Stephenson was called for a foul, but that will not stop the frustrated Los Angeles star in future. Continue to Article

Baker Mayfield believes it is important to have the same mentality as Kobe Bryant when playing on the road after the Los Angeles Lakers legend visited the Cleveland Browns ahead of their away win over the Denver Broncos. The five-time NBA champion was a guest at the Browns' team meeting on Friday and provided the players with motivation going into Saturday's clash with the Broncos. Cleveland subsequently claimed a narrow 17-16 victory to keep their playoff hopes alive and, though rookie quarterback Mayfield was unsure whether Bryant's visit had an impact, he was full of praise for the 18-time All-Star. Lonzo Ball and LeBron James became the first Lakers to each record a triple-double in the same game since Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in 1982. Almost a year to the day that LeBron James and Lonzo Ball conferenced at center court following a Los Angeles-Cleveland game, the duo made Lakers history. Luke Walton was surprised to hear that LeBron James and Lonzo Ball were only the second Lakers teammates to record a triple-double in the same game. There have been a lot of good players in Lakers history and I figured Walton and Kobe (Bryant) would have done it a few times," joked Walton, a former small forward with the Lakers.
