Saturday's game against the Los Angeles Kings at PPG Paints Arena most likely will give Pittsburgh Penguins goaltender Matt Murray an opportunity for something of a fresh start. Murray, who helped the Penguins win the Stanley Cup in 2016 and 2017, not played as well since, at least in part because of injuries. Murray was put on injured reserve on Thanksgiving after putting up the worst numbers of his career to that point in the season: 4-5-1, an .877 goals-against average and a 4.08 goals-against average. The Bruins continue the challenge of keeping both their goaltenders on point as they go with Jaroslav Halak on Friday night against the Pittsburgh Penguins at PPG Paints Arena. Tuukka Rask had started and won each of the two previous games while stopping 57-of-61 shots, and now it's Halak turn to keep up his performance that still has him ranked fourth in the NHL in goals against average (2.30) and second overall in save percentage (.930). The good news is that he's been pretty good vs. the high-powered Penguins throughout his career, with a 9-6-2 record along with a 2.40 goals against average and .924 save percentage. Marcus Kruger, Brent Seabrook, Andreas Martinsen, Brandon Saad each had a goal and an assist in Chicago's first win since Nov. 24 at Florida. Alex DeBrincat scored a power-play goal. The Los Angeles Kings and Vegas Golden Knights will get together Saturday afternoon at Staples Center for the first time since they met in the first round of the playoffs last spring. The Golden Knights swept the Kings en route to advancing to the Stanley Cup Finals. Vegas is rolling again after a slow start to the season, and Los Angeles is still trying to pick itself back up.
