Jake Layman hadn't played in Portland's last five games, so he wanted to make the best of it when he did get his chance. Layman came off the bench to score a career-high 24 points and the Trail Blazers snapped a three-game losing streak with a 108-86 rout of the Phoenix Suns on Thursday night. The Suns (4-20) have dropped six straight and will be without their top two scorers -- guard Devin Booker (hamstring) and forward T.J. Warren (ankle) -- when they face the Blazers. The Sacramento Kings couldn't have asked for an easier lead-in to a three-game Eastern swing. Buddy Hield scored 20 points in 18 minutes and the Kings buried the Suns early on Tuesday night, outscoring Phoenix 36-9 in the first quarter as they cruised to a 122-105 victory. Seven players scored in double figures for Sacramento, including Bogdan Bogdanovic off the bench with 14 points, and no starter played more than 27 minutes. Continue to Article

Looking to start their four-game road trip off on the right foot, the Sacramento Kings came out with intensity and ran over the Phoenix Suns in the first quarter. With Devin Booker and T.J.
