Insofar as the unfortunate news regarding center Damian Jones does not hasten DeMarcus Cousins' return, the Warriors will spend the next week or more patching a role that has been problematic for much of the season. The starting center in 22 of the Warriors' 24 games, Jones sustained a torn left pectoral muscle Saturday in the third quarter of the game at Detroit and could miss the rest of the season. The Warriors won the war Saturday, but they lost the battle. The victory being referred to here was the only one Golden State experienced in Detroit on Saturday -- Stephen Curry's return to game action after missing the previous 11 contests with a groin injury. Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green could be nearing his return to the court. The 28-year-old has been dealing with a toe sprain and has not played since November 15. Green, however, told reporters on Saturday he is currently pain free and is hoping to be back in Golden State’s lineup soon. Continue to Article

Stephen Curry has spent the last 11 games in street clothes, recovering from a strained groin muscle. In that time the Warriors have gone 5-6 with an offense that has been pretty average (13th in the NBA over that stretch). As a team, they shot 34.4 percent from three, 19th in the NBA.
