Milwaukee
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist's stat line was nothing to get excited about: seven points, seven rebounds, two blocks and one assist. Kidd-Gilchrist brought energy on both ends of the floor, including a rejection of Khris Middleton off the glass on a fast-break layup attempt. Charlotte forced 16 turnovers, limited Milwaukee to a season-low 40 points in the paint and played perhaps its best defensive game of the season. Continue to Article

Chicago Bulls power forward Lauri Markkanen is scheduled for full participation in practice Tuesday as he works his way back from a preseason right elbow injury. Markkanen took part in two-on-two sessions on Sunday, and a successful practice stint could move him closer to making his season debut. "Obviously, depending on how he does with that will determine how quickly we can get him back out on the floor," Chicago coach Fred Hoiberg told reporters of Markkanen on Monday. Continue to Article

After falling behind early by 15 points, the Spurs sputtered late in the 135-129 setback in which they couldn't protect a sizable lead down the stretch. Continue to Article

Charlotte's Kemba Walker outscored Milwaukee's Giannis Antetokounmpo 41-25, but the Bucks prevailed 113-112 in the earlier meeting when the Greek star hit two go-ahead free throws with 23.7 seconds left. Walker had a chance to win it for the Hornets but misfired on a driving attempt from short range with 3.4 seconds left. Continue to Article

Milwaukee
Antetokounmpo's penchant for driving to the basket means he draws physical contact more often than most, and while officials do not always whistle a foul, they come around eventually if spoken to respectfully, he says. "I think I've grown as a player to be able to relax and not show my frustration," the 23-year-old nicknamed 'Greek Freak' told reporters after scoring 34 points. "We feel like he could get more calls -- there's a lot of contact on his drives -- but the thing Giannis impresses all us with is if he doesn't get the call he keeps playing. Continue to Article
