The Celtics are a disappointing 9-9 with one of the NBA’s worst offenses. “Sometimes it’s a little frustrating to see them getting down on themselves as hard as they are, and for their moods to be as bad as it is,” Morris said. Morris doesn’t name anyone, but there are no shortage of Celtics who’ve disappointed and haven’t always displayed ideal body language. Continue to Article

A week and a half ago after a loss in Portland ended a 1-4 trip, Marcus Smart made what by all accounts was an impassioned plea to his teammates to step up their effort. The Celtics have gone 2-3 since to fall to 9-9 and a season of lofty expectations is heading perilously in the wrong direction. Al Horford, who spent his first nine NBA seasons with the Hawks, is listed as questionable with a sore left knee – similar to his status prior to Boston's 117-109 loss to the New York Knicks on Wednesday. Horford wound up playing against the Knicks, scoring 19 points on 7-for-11 shooting to go with seven rebounds and five assists along with three blocked shots. Continue to Article

As Brad Stevens said following the Celtics' 117-109 loss to the Knicks, there's plenty to be thankful for. Of course, but that still doesn't make it any easier for Celtics fans, who are still trying to digest how a team pegged for greatness this season has delivered one head-scratching, ghastly performance after another. In keeping with Stevens' mantra, we'll take a look at some things that - despite being a surprise .500 team (9-9) - the C's have reason to be thankful for. Continue to Article
