The Philadelphia Flyers appear ready to make a goaltending change Wednesday when they visit the Buffalo Sabres, who are going so well they just want things to stay just the way they are. While indications on Tuesday were that Alex Lyon, who played in 11 NHL games last season, would make his season debut for the Flyers in the game at KeyBank Center, the Sabres will be trying to extend their winning streak to seven games. The Sabres, doormats for several years, are 12-6-2 and have won five straight. Continue to Article

A year after finishing with the worst record in the NHL, the Buffalo Sabres are making a habit of rallying in their second year under coach Phil Housley. Jason Pominville scored with 1:30 remaining and Buffalo extended its winning streak to five games with a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. Rookie defenseman Rasmus Dahlin had his second career goal and added an assist for the Sabres, who rallied from a two-goal deficit to post their longest winning streak since 2012. Continue to Article

Conor Sheary and Carter Hutton gave the surging Buffalo Sabres another full two points in the standings.
