Center Derick Brassard returned to practice on Friday and could be cleared to play for the Pittsburgh Penguins vs. the Ottawa Senators on Saturday night. The Edmonton Oilers and New York Rangers exchanged beleaguered Ryans on Friday afternoon, with Spooner heading west to Oil Country and Strome joining the Blueshirts. Incidentally, Strome and Spooner are each stuck on one goal and one assist to start the season, registering as complete non-factors on two teams suffering in the absence of secondary scoring — hence the changes in scenery.
