The hockey world zeroed on Timo Meier on Saturday night when he scored his 11th goal on the young season. The ever-humble Meier, however, doesn't appear to be letting himself get too caught up in the milestone. "I'm not a guy that really focuses much on numbers," he admitted to the media after his record-setting goal gave the Sharks a 4-3 overtime win against the Flyers. Continue to Article

It appears that Pekka Rinne will finish his career in the place it started. The Nashville Predators locked up the 36-year-old netminder on a two-year extension, a lead that will pay him $10 million over its course ($6 million in 2019-20, $4 million in 2020-21). Appealing to a neutral arbitrator is now Wilson's last chance to have his suspension reduced and perhaps recoup some of the over $1.2 million in salary he is forfeiting as part of the suspension. The appeal will be heard by Shyam Das, the same arbitrator who reduced Nashville Predators forward Austin Watson's suspension for domestic assault earlier in October. Continue to Article

Washington Capitals forward Tom Wilson has adopted this mantra and will now plead his case to an independent arbitrator. After NHL commissioner Gary Bettman upheld Wilson’s 20-game suspension on Thursday, the latter is expected to “appeal the appeal,” according to Sportsnet’s John Shannon. Wilson was handed the 20-game ban after an illegal check to the head of St. Louis Blues forward Oskar Sundqvist during the preseason. Continue to Article
