Washington has hired Scott Huff as its new offensive line coach, replacing Chris Strausser who left for a position with the Denver Broncos in the NFL. Washington announced Huff's hiring Wednesday. Minnesota fired coach Tracy Claeys on Tuesday, just over two weeks after the football program became embroiled in a standoff with the administration over the suspension of 10 players in connection with allegations of sexual assault, two people with knowledge of the situation told The Associated Press. Claeys met with athletic director Mark Coyle on Tuesday, according to the people, who spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the school has not announced the move.
