A person with knowledge of the situation said Saturday that Butler is being traded to the 76ers in a package that will send Dario Saric and Robert Covington to the Timberwolves. The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the trade had not yet been announced by either team and was still pending NBA approval, which is not expected until Monday. Newly-signed Saints receiver Dez Bryant has torn his Achilles, an MRI confirmed Saturday morning, per ESPN's Adam Schefter. Bryant, 30, suffered the injury at the end of his first practice with New Orleans on Thursday, just one day after signing a one-year deal with the team. The Dallas Cowboys are doing more shuffling at receiver as they try to revive one of the NFL's worst passing attacks before a critical game at Philadelphia. The Cowboys on Friday waived one of their key offseason free agent pickups, receiver Deonte Thompson, while activating Noah Brown off injured reserve and promoting Lance Lenoir from the practice squad. The moves come two weeks after the Cowboys traded their upcoming first-round draft pick to Oakland for receiver Amari Cooper, who was solid and scored a touchdown in his Dallas debut, a 28-14 loss to Tennessee. While Dallas is playing on a short week after losing 28-14 as a four-point home favorite against Tennessee on Monday night, Philadelphia hasn't played since it defeated Jacksonville 24-18 in London on Oct. 28. The Eagles have capitalized on extra rest in recent seasons, going 16-3 straight up and 12-6-1 against the spread since 2000 when having more than a week off. Although the lopsided outcome was due in part to Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott tossing three interceptions and losing a fumble that was returned for a touchdown, the Eagles were able to put together second-half scoring drives of 90, 85 and 75 yards in that blowout.
