Edmonton
Despite a loss in overtime the last time out, the Edmonton Oilers held their own against one of the NHL's elite teams. Next up, Edmonton will face the defending Stanley Cup champions -- a deep squad led by a seven-time goal scoring champion as part of a balanced offensive attack. The Oilers close their four-game homestand Thursday night against Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals. Continue to Article

Vancouver's head coach said the Capitals came out fast and strong in the 5-2 win, showcasing highly skilled athletes who consistently make plays. ''They don't just go out there and just play summer hockey. Continue to Article

OTTAWA --The Ottawa Senators will put a three-game winning streak on the table when they host the Boston Bruins at Canadian Tire Centre on Tuesday night. The Bruins are currently going the other way. After an embarrassing, 7-0 season opening loss to the Washington Capitals, the Bruins (4-2-2) rebounded by winning four in a row, a stretch in which they outscored opponents 22-6. Continue to Article
