Niemi made 25 saves, and Paul Byron and Jonathan Drouin scored in the shootout to lead the Montreal Canadiens to a 4-3 victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Saturday night. Evgeni Malkin corralled the puck near his own goal-line and saw Phil Kessel sprinting out of the zone. Carl Hagelin repeated a similar sequence with Kessel later in the second period that ended the same way.
