The Dallas Cowboys badly need a wide receiver, so they're reportedly doing their due diligence on Amari Cooper before possibly trading for him, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday, citing league sources. The Oakland Raiders reportedly are seeking a first-round draft pick in exchange for Cooper, a former Pro Bowl pick who hasn't performed as expected in 2017 and 2018. The Pro Bowl right guard told the Detroit Free Press his biggest question for the doctors was if they felt safe with him going back to football once he was healthy from the latest concussion, suffered in a Sept. 30 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. “And I think most of them said yeah,” Lang said, according to the Free Press. Despite all the criticisms that have been tossed in the direction of quarterback Dak Prescott, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said, "Anything we need to see and need to know, I see with him" and called Prescott the "long-term" option for Dallas in an interview with Jarrett Bell of USA Today. "We know the problem with saying that about any player, but I don’t mind saying it," Jones told USA Today. Prescott and the Cowboys are coming off arguably their best performance in two seasons with a 40-7 victory over the Jaguars. Continue to Article
