It's a copycat league but the Packers defense is unlikely to emulate the soft Cover 2 scheme that the Colts used to frustrate Alex Smith and the wide receivers last week. Green Bay plays a more aggressive defense with more blitzing and man coverage and they aren't going to change that up today because of what the Colts did. This should give Josh Doctson, Paul Richardson, and Jamison Crowder some opportunities to get chunk plays. Continue to Article

Jimmy Graham has made a difference in the Packers offense, even when the tight end isn’t catching passes. In the season opener, the Bears were so focused on stopping Graham that Davante Adams, Randall Cobb and Geronimo Allison combined for 19 catches for 299 yards. “I was pretty shocked, honestly, how they were guarding me and taking safeties out of the middle of the field and chipping me on the line, basically from the very beginning, the first few plays,” Graham said Friday, via Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. In his first two games with the Green Bay Packers, Jimmy Graham's impact on the offense has been obvious - in two very different ways. Last week against Minnesota, Graham caught six passes for 95 yards and had a more direct role in the offense's production - and that's without counting a 12-yard touchdown pass that was wiped out by a holding penalty. Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer said this week that an official told safety Andrew Sendejo that he “did everything right” on a hit on Packers wide receiver Davante Adams that earned a flag for unnecessary roughness, but that didn’t stop the league from fining Sendejo this week. Tom Pelissero of NFL Media reports that Sendejo has been fined $53,482 for the hit. The fine is large because Sendejo is considered a repeat offender by the league. Continue to Article
