Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said Saturday there is no guarantee closer Aroldis Chapman will pitch again in the regular season. "The timeline is tougher because the season is now only a month left to go," Cashman said of the 30-year-old left-hander. It’s looking more and more like Josh Donaldson’s days with the Blue Jays are done. If the ever-reliable Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic is to be believed, Wednesday is the day the Toronto Blue Jays put Josh Donaldson on waivers and pave the way for his exit. What that means is this is not like the Bryce Harper situation where the Washington Nationals were willing to explore a trade, but also revoke a claim and keep the player if the return wasn’t strong.
