Los Angeles Angels first baseman Albert Pujols is likely to miss the rest of the season after undergoing arthroscopic surgery on his left knee. Pujols had surgery on the same knee in 2012. The 10-time All-Star and three-time NL MVP with the St. Louis Cardinals is still a source of power in his 18th MLB season, hitting .245 with with 19 home runs and 64 RBI through 117 games. Thrilled with the results, the St. Louis Cardinals thanked Mike Shildt. The Cardinals took off the interim tag from Shildt's title and promoted him to full-time manager through 2020, a reward for steering the team back into postseason contention after replacing the fired Mike Matheny.
