Former Broncos and Ravens outside linebacker Elvis Dumervil retired from the NFL on Thursday and announced his retirement on Twitter. "After spending a great deal of time talking to my family and prayerfully considering what's next in my career, I have made the difficult decision to step away from the NFL at this time," Dumervil wrote. Dumervil was drafted by the Broncos in the fourth round of the 2006 draft and spent six seasons in Denver before signing with the Ravens in 2013. Continue to Article

Von Miller went bonkers when Bradley Chubb fell to the Denver Broncos with the fifth pick in the NFL draft. Chubb not only takes pressure off Miller, who hasn't been back to the playoffs since winning Super Bowl 50 MVP honors. Cornerback Adam Jones signed with the Broncos last weekend and that gave linebacker Von Miller a chance to fire back at one of his former teammates. Aqib Talib, who was traded from the Broncos to the Rams this offseason, told Robert Klemko of SI.com in July that the Broncos were “full of dogs” when they had winning seasons and suggested the team “stop firing all the dogs” if they wanted to change their fortunes. Chad Kelly has a tenuous hold on the No. 2 quarterback job in Denver, and not because Paxton Lynch is making a push to regain the gig he lost to him this summer. Kelly gets one more shot at showing he's a worthy backup to starter Case Keenum when he starts the Broncos' final preseason game Thursday night at Arizona. Although he's won over Broncos fans with a stellar summer, Kelly still has to convince general manager John Elway that it's not necessary to scour the waiver wire for a more seasoned backup QB.
