Jacksonville Jaguars defensive end Yannick Ngakoue was slapped with a $13,369 fine by the NFL for invoking an infamous comedy sketch while celebrating a sack in a preseason win over the Minnesota Vikings. Inspired by Hingle McCringleberry, a fictitious receiver made famous in a "Key & Peele" comedy sketch, Ngakoue gave three pelvic thrusts after making the sack and was hit with an excessive celebration penalty on the field. In the comedy sketch, McCringleberry is penalized for doing the same thing, despite the rule book dictating that two pelvic thrusts was the maximum allowed. Continue to Article

Minnesota Vikings linebacker Antwione Williams is paying for his aggressive tendencies as the NFL continues to target players who take aim at quarterbacks. Williams was reportedly fined $20,054 for roughing Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Cody Kessler in an Aug. 18 preseason game because he appeared to use extra force by using his body weight to drive the passer into the ground. Williams, who was penalized for the infraction, voiced his displeasure Thursday on Twitter, saying, "Really got fined today for this" in response to a clip of the play. Continue to Article

The halfback took a few handoffs and caught a few passes in situational drills as the Giants prepared for Friday's annual preseason game against the Jets at MetLife Stadium. Coach Pat Shurmur refused say whether Barkley will play Friday, but his chances seem remote after being off the field since Aug. 13. Continue to Article

Julio Jones and Devonta Freeman are healthy and practicing at full speed again this week but will be held out for the third straight preseason game when the Atlanta Falcons visit the Jacksonville Jaguars on Saturday. Coach Dan Quinn said the team decided during the offseason not to play Jones, a two-time All-Pro receiver, and Freeman, a former Pro Bowl running back, in exhibitions, so it's likely neither will suit up until Atlanta opens the regular season Sept. 6 at Philadelphia. Quinn cited the injury history of Jones and Freeman as the reason to keep both players out of preseason games. Continue to Article

With a straight face and a shoulder shrug, Jacksonville Jaguars coach Doug Marrone provided a subtle response to being criticized in Doug Pederson's new book. In Pederson's book released Tuesday, the Philadelphia Eagles coach ripped Marrone's decision to take a knee at the end of the first half of the AFC championship game. Jacksonville led New England 14-10 with 55 seconds remaining and two timeouts, but Marrone called for Blake Bortles to run out the clock and head to the locker room. Continue to Article
