The Oakland Athletics back into their eighth home stand of the year, powered by the competing notions that they are (a) becoming the cult item in the otherwise staid American League playoff race, and (b) closed their latest successful road trip by losing three consecutive games and scoring four entire runs in Denver, of all places.
