The Houston Astros have placed star second baseman Jose Altuve on the 10-day disabled list for the first time in his eight-year career with right knee soreness. Altuve has missed the team's last two games, including a 7-3 loss to the rival Texas Rangers on Saturday, as a result of the injury. Altuve, the reigning American League MVP, exited the Astros' game against the Colorado Rockies on Wednesday in the fifth inning with knee discomfort, which had been a lingering issue for the 28-year-old.
