CINCINNATI - The Phillies will add some speed and potential electricity to their bench by calling up switch-hitting outfielder Roman Quinn in time for Friday night's game against the Reds, according to sources. Quinn will replace left-hander Ranger Suarez, who was sent back to Triple A after notching a victory in his big-league debut Thursday night. As promised, Kapler has already used a position player as a pitcher three times, something unheard of by historical standards. Continue to Article

Three-time All-Star starting pitcher Stephen Strasburg is reportedly on the disabled list for the second time in two months. On top of that, closer Sean Doolittle was sidelined before the All-Star beak and will reportedly remain on the disabled list with an injured toe on his left foot for at least a few more weeks. This leaves the injury-plagued Nationals with an important question - should they be buyers or sellers approaching next Tuesday's trade deadline? Continue to Article
