Once Braden Holtby rejected Las Vegas Golden Knight Alex Tuch's game-tying attempt, there was no question that his save was going down in D.C. Sports lore. Holtby's save in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final gave the Washington Capitals their first-ever Stanley Cup victory. The St. Louis Cardinals will get Alex Reyes, their top pitching prospect, back next week, and because of an extended recovery time from Tommy John surgery, he won't be restricted in his use, according to the team's president of baseball operations. The St Louis Cardinals placed shortstop Paul DeJong on the 10-day disabled list with a fractured left hand, the team announced on Friday. Cardinals president of baseball operations John Mozeliak told the St Louis Post-Dispatch that DeJong is undergoing surgery on Friday and will have a plate installed. He is expected to miss "significant time". Phillies reliever Luis Garcia hit DeJong on the hand with a slider in the eighth inning of Thursday's game. Continue to Article
