Cleveland Cavaliers point guard George Hill became a college graduate on Saturday, as he missed the team's final practice before the Eastern Conference finals to attend his IUPUI graduation. Hill, 32, received his degree from the School of Liberal Arts and was one of two students to speak at the commencement, telling those in attendance that the upcoming series against the Boston Celtics could not have kept him from appearing to walk across the stage. One day after Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn completed his Bachelors degree from UNLV, and one day before his Cleveland Cavaliers open the Eastern Conference finals against the Boston Celtics, George Hill graduated from Indiana University-Purdue University of Indianapolis. Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert told head coach Tyronn Lue to experiment in the NBA this season. In essence, he gave him permission to lose knowing full well the Cavaliers were going to make the playoffs in a mediocre Eastern Conference.
