The Arizona Diamondbacks have permission to search for a new stadium as early as 2022. The Maricopa County board of supervisors passed an agreement on Wednesday allowing the team to start looking for a new stadium in exchange for “dropping its demand for the county to pay up to $187 million in stadium upgrades,” the Arizona Republic reported on Wednesday. Chris Taylor reached base in his first four trips to the plate as the Los Angeles Dodgers proved to be opportunists, scoring twice on wild pitches Wednesday in a 6-3 victory over the visiting Arizona Diamondbacks. The Dodgers didn't collect a hit until the fourth inning, when Taylor singled, and didn't need a hit at all to bring home any of their first four runs. The Arizona Diamondbacks can leave Chase Field to find a new home by 2022 without penalty following a vote by the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors. The Diamondbacks reached an agreement with the Maricopa County Stadium District last week to allow the team to leave Chase Field up to five years early if it drops lawsuit demanding $187 million in upgrades.
