Nashville
Tom Wilson's aggression helped propel him from fourth-line grinder into a difference-maker who skates alongside Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom. ''There are very few Tom Wilsons in the league,'' Barry Trotz said. The league suspended Wilson three games for his run-in with Penguins forward Zach Aston-Reese that left the rookie with a concussion and a broken jaw. Continue to Article

The Nashville Predators and Pittsburgh Penguins met in the Stanley Cup Final last year and while it was known that the competition would be fierce, both teams entered the playoffs as serious contenders to get there again.  That might still happen, but Pittsburgh and Nashville each suffered a setback last night and now find themselves behind 2-1 versus the Capitals and Jets respectively. Dustin Byfuglien electrifies the crowd in Winnipeg. It looked like the Nashville Predators had finally found a way to silence — or at least soften — the deafening noise inside the cozy confines of Bell MTS Place in Winnipeg. The Predators, however, had the raucous crowd stunned and sitting on their collective hands after potting the all-important first goal of Game 3 followed up with two more tallies to round out the opening frame. Sunday was a huge night in Carrie Underwood‘s household. It was Game 2 of the Nashville Predators vs. Winnipeg Jets in the Stanley Cup playoffs, which means Underwood’s husband, Mike Fisher, was on the ice. The songstress lent her vocal talents to the event, singing the national anthem. The pair brought their 3-year-old son, Isaiah, to the stadium with them for the big NHL event. Continue to Article
