Cleveland sports came together in a memorable way Friday night at Progressive Field. Before the Indians hosted the Seattle Mariners, the Cleveland Browns two first round draft picks — quarterback Baker Mayfield, taken No. 1 overall, and cornerback Denzel Ward, taken No. 4 — were on hand for a ceremonial first pitch that got plenty of attention. Kyle Seager had three hits Thursday, including a go-ahead RBI double in the eighth inning, as the visiting Seattle Mariners earned a 5-4 victory over the Cleveland Indians. The Mariners led 4-0 early but the Indians tied it when Yonder Alonso hit a two-run home run in the sixth inning and Jason Kipnis and Edwin Encarnacion added run-scoring hits in the seventh.
