Winnipeg Jets defenseman Josh Morrissey escaped punishment during the game on Tuesday night when he blatantly cross-checked Minnesota Wild forward Eric Staal in the side of the head. The NHL’s Department Of Player Safety announced on Wednesday morning that Morrissey will have a hearing on Wednesday as a result of the incident. Morrissey’s cross-check and the missed call that went along with it turned out to be a pretty big moment in the game. Continue to Article

The Minnesota Wild were hit with a major setback in their first-round playoff matchup with Winnipeg, a broken sternum for left wing Zach Parise suffered in the last game that will keep him out for at least the remainder of the series and likely longer if they advance. Parise took a hard hit to the chest area with about four minutes remaining in Game 3 and the Wild leading 6-2, when he was sandwiched by Jets center Mark Scheifele and defenseman Ben Chiarot. Parise didn't appear shaken up, and he spoke to reporters afterward without any sign of discomfort. Continue to Article

With their 2-0 loss to the Winnipeg Jets on Tuesday night the Minnesota Wild are now facing elimination and are without two of their top players — Zach Parise and Ryan Suter — for the remainder of the series. Connor Hellebuyck recovered from a shaky performance to notch 30 saves, and the Winnipeg Jets defeated the Minnesota Wild 2-0 in Game 4 on Tuesday night in Saint Paul, Minn., to pull within one game of advancing to the Western Conference semifinals. Mark Scheifele scored both of Winnipeg's goals, including an empty-net tally with 11 seconds to play as the Jets built a 3-1 lead in the best-of-seven series. Minnesota goalie Devan Dubnyk made 26 saves. Continue to Article

The Minnesota Wild returned home from Winnipeg and regrouped to roar back in their first-round playoff series. The Jets were a late arrival for Game 3 in more ways than one. Mikael Granlund and Zach Parise had power-play goals in the first period for the spark that was missing on the road, and the Wild scored four times in the second to beat the Jets 6-2 on Sunday night.
