Mike Leake pitched five strong innings, and Kyle Seager, Ryon Healy and Guillermo Heredia provided the offense as the Seattle Mariners beat the Minnesota Twins 11-4 on a chilly Saturday afternoon at Target Field. The ceremony, however, went a step further ahead of the Minnesota Twins’ first home game of the season when an eagle landed on Seattle Mariners’ James Paxton. Having taken a break from his warm-up throws, the left-hander was standing alone in left field at Target Field on Thursday night when a bald eagle brought it for the pre-game ceremony made for him. The Canadian saw an eagle land on him on April 5 ahead of the match against the Minnesota Twins. Continue to Article
