Flyers fans weren't ready to stop. Claude Giroux had just ripped a laser into the back of the net to give the Flyers a 3-2 third-period lead, just piling on to the clutch goals he's delivered over the course of this career season. As the Jumbroton found Giroux sitting on the Flyers' bench moments after his 31st goal, the Wells Fargo Center grew even louder and fans then rose to their feet for a lengthy salute. Should the Flyers and Panthers finish the regular season tied in points, wins, points in their season series and season goal differential, the teams will play one final game to advance to the playoffs: A play-in game for the eighth and final spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs. "When you think the puck can't get there, he can get it there," Holden said after scoring his first goal in a Bruins uniform, tapping in a spinning, perfectly place pass from Krejci to help Boston beat the Florida Panthers 5-1 on Saturday afternoon. "He just made a perfect play,'" said Holden, who was acquired from the New York Rangers in late February. Continue to Article

Now that April is upon us, one can only wonder what direction the Flyers are Marching. Flyers head coach Dave Hakstol can't comfortably check off all of those boxes, but collectively, the Flyers appear to be maneuvering in the right direction. Overall, the Flyers' 5-6-4 record to close out March doesn't exactly have them steamrolling towards the Stanley Cup Playoffs, but prior history suggests that 31-day stretch drive doesn't provide any compass for how far the Flyers advance into the postseason.
