The San Antonio Spurs are awaiting word from Kawhi Leonard's "group" to find out when or if the injured forward might rejoin the team, according to coach Gregg Popovich. Leonard, whose season has been limited to nine games because of right quadriceps tendinopathy, is in New York, training and dealing with his own medical experts. The Spurs' medical staff have long since cleared Leonard to get back into action, but the former NBA Finals MVP is at odds with the club over his health. Continue to Article

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Carmelo Anthony said he was surprised to be on the bench on the final play of regulation with a chance to win at the buzzer as he sat the entire fourth quarter in the Oklahoma City Thunder's 126-125 overtime loss to the Denver Nuggets on Friday. "Yeah, of course," Anthony said. "Of course I wanted to be there, but that wasn't my decision to make, so I kind of leave that to coach on that one." Anthony, who walked to the scorer's table with about three minutes left in regulation to check in, elected to sit himself back on the bench after Jerami Grant hit a corner 3 to put the Thunder up six with 2:22 left. Anthony waved his hand at the court after Grant's 3 dropped and walked back Continue to Article

Denver coach Michael Malone said before the game that Paul Millsap was improving, but it wouldn't be fair to expect the veteran forward to be as good as he was before a left wrist sprain cost him 44 games. Millsap was actually better on Friday night. Millsap made 13 of 18 field goals and grabbed nine rebounds. Continue to Article

Victor Oladipo got the Pacers off to a quick start, then picked up the pace again in the fourth quarter after Indiana's offense went into a brief funk. With that, Nate McMillan's team picked up another win on the road and stayed in the hunt for home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs. Oladipo made his first five shots before scoring 13 of his 24 points in the fourth quarter, including a pair of free throws with 2.5 seconds remaining, and the Pacers held on to beat the Sacramento Kings 106-103 on Thursday night.
