Taylor Hall's short-handed breakaway goal at 15:31 of the third period gave the visiting New Jersey Devils a 2-1 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Sunday night. Hall scored as he came out of the penalty box after serving a bench minor for too many men on the ice. Thatcher Demko survived a late barrage of goals and made 26 saves on 30 shots to earn his first National Hockey League victory as the Vancouver Canucks edged the Columbus Blue Jackets 5-4 in overtime Saturday. Demko earned a win in his NHL debut with the Canucks after being called up from Utica of the American Hockey League on an emergency basis.
