Matt Dumba and the Minnesota Wild started a defining two-game stretch against the Dallas Stars with a determined performance. ''That was what fueled the fire, just wanting to bury these guys,'' Dumba said. Just 5:31 into Tuesday's game against the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center, Flyers captain Claude Giroux was tripped by goaltender Kari Lehtonen behind the net. The Flyers managed a shot on that power play, but not converting that early opportunity set an ominous tone for the rest of the night. Sure, the Flyers did get a goal from Travis Konecny late in the first and from Ivan Provorov early in the second period, but the story of this game for the visitors was the multitude of missed high-quality scoring chances, opportunities for the Flyers to leave Texas with a full two points instead of the one they earned in a 3-2 overtime loss (see observations). The checklist for the Nashville Predators is getting shorter as the regular season winds down. Kyle Turris scored the only goal in the shootout to lift the Predators over the Minnesota Wild 2-1 Tuesday night to snap a three-game skid. The franchise's first Central Division title also is in reach, with Nashville leading Winnipeg by five points for both the top seed in the West and in the division with six games remaining apiece. Alexander Radulov scored the deciding goal in overtime to lift the Dallas Stars to a 3-2 victory over the visiting Philadelphia Flyers on Tuesday at the American Airlines Center. The Stars snapped an eight-game losing streak and kept their fleeting playoff hopes alive. Radulov scored the game-winner just 40 seconds into the extra period after a long-distance pass from John Klingberg to Tyler Seguin was just onside and allowed Seguin and Radulov a two-man breakaway.
