The Tampa Bay Lightning were among the favorites to win the Stanley Cup before Monday's NHL trade deadline, but they just upped their chances by reportedly agreeing to acquire defenseman Ryan McDonagh and forward J.T. Miller from the New York Rangers.  According to TSN, the Rangers will receive a 2018 first-round draft pick, a conditional second-rounder, forward Vladislav Namestnikov -- who will be a restricted free agent after the season -- and prospects Libor Hajek and Brett Howden. The Toronto Maple Leafs put together the perfect response to a big rally by the Tampa Bay Lightning. Earlier today, the NHL’s Department of Player Safety announced that they wanted to talk to Kings forward Dustin Brown for an incident that took place in last night’s game against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Brown received a major penalty and a game misconduct for kneeing Bolts defenseman Mikhail Sergachev (top). Tonight, the league announced that they’ve decided to suspend Brown for one game.
