Goaltender Jonathan Quick stopped 35 shots for his fourth shutout of the season as the hometown Los Angeles Kings blanked the Vancouver Canucks 3-0 on Monday night. As owner of the online retailer Fanatics, Michael Rubin has partnered with the NFL to sell jerseys and a report on Sunday indicates that he could be interested in a new role in the league. The Charlotte Observer reports that Rubin is looking into a bid to buy the Panthers. Jake Allen made 38 saves and seven different players scored as the St. Louis offense broke out of a month-long slump as the visiting St. Louis Blues defeated the Los Angeles Kings 7-2 on Saturday afternoon at Staples Center. The Blues led 2-0 after one period, 4-1 after two before adding two more goals in the first minute of the third period to put the finishing touches on a brutal day for Kings goalies Jonathan Quick and Jack Campbell. Trevor Lewis is not the glamor player on the Los Angeles Kings. In his first game in two months, Lewis came down the far wall, took a shot, got the rebound and took another, and finally as the puck popped up as he skated by, he batted it into the net.
