Lakers super fan Jack Nicholson may or may not have had to show his ticket to an usher to prove he was actually sitting court side before Friday night’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Julius Randle had a career-high 36 points to go with 14 rebounds, seven assists and two blocks, leading the host Los Angeles Lakers to a 127-113 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday night at Staples Center. The score was tied in the third quarter when the Lakers went on a 22-3 run. Cavaliers star LeBron James produced 24 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists, but his Cavaliers lost for the fourth time in six games. Continue to Article

Julius Randle had a career-high 36 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists, and the Los Angeles Lakers auditioned for LeBron James' favor in free agency with a 127-113 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday night. Isaiah Thomas had 20 points, nine assists and five rebounds against his former teammates as the Lakers roared away from James and the defending Eastern Conference champions in the second half. With its sixth win in eight games overall, Los Angeles (30-36) emphatically snapped a seven-game losing streak against Cleveland. Road games are not going well for the Philadelphia 76ers recently, but their remaining road schedule could be favorable. Philadelphia has dropped eight of its last 11 road games but Sunday's visit to the Brooklyn Nets is the first of seven remaining road contests against losing teams. The 76ers (35-29) are 15-19 overall outside of Philadelphia but since beating the San Antonio Spurs on Jan. 26, they are allowing 109.8 points in their last 11 road games. Continue to Article

As late as 24 hours before the trade deadline, the Clippers and Cavaliers were reaching out to third teams to find a way to make a DeAndre Jordan to Cleveland trade happen (the Clippers didn’t want to take on long-term salary in the move). Then, within hours of the trade deadline,  Cleveland went a wildly different direction, making a couple of trades that completely revamped their roster. DeAndre Jordan stayed with the Clippers.
