After losing four straight on the road, the Toronto Maple Leafs got back on the winning track at home - where they haven't lost in nearly seven weeks. Nazem Kadri scored twice and the Maple Leafs beat the Pittsburgh Penguins 5-2 Saturday night for their franchise-record 10th straight home win. ''Well you want to be real good at home and obviously you want to be real good on the road,'' Toronto coach Mike Babcock said. Continue to Article

When the Dallas Stars open a six-game road trip crucial to their playoff chances, they could run into a buzz saw in Pittsburgh Sunday at PPG Paints Arena. The Penguins (39-26-4) had their three-game winning streak broken Saturday night at Toronto 5-2, and also came away upset over an ineffective power play and an apparent goal by defenseman Brian Dumoulin that not only was waved off but resulted in a goaltender interference penalty -- with the Maple Leafs scoring on the ensuing power play for a 4-0 lead. Patrick Marleau (21 goals), Mitchell Marner (19) and Kasperi Kapanen (5) also scored for Toronto, which had been outscored 17-10 during its 0-2-2 skid. Continue to Article

Brad Marchand is once again being forced to hand over a portion of his paycheck to the NHL. The league announced on Friday afternoon that the Bruins forward has been fined $2,000 for diving and embellishment, meaning it is the second time this season that he has been flagged for such an incident. The one that resulted in him getting the fine took place in the Bruins’ 8-4 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins last week. Penguins defenseman Olli Maatta was penalized for tripping on the play while Marchand was giving a matching minor for embellishment.
