Conor Sheary scored two goals, Sidney Crosby had three assists and the Pittsburgh Penguins moved into first place in the Metropolitan Division with a 5-2 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday night. Phil Kessel, Jamie Oleksiak and Evgeni Malkin also scored for the two-time defending Stanley Cup champions, who have won three straight. Pittsburgh (39-25-4, 82 points) moved one point ahead of idle Washington and three in front of third-place Philadelphia. Stamkos and Hedman combined for four goals and five assists to lead the Tampa Bay Lightning to a 7-6 shootout victory against the Flyers. The Tampa Bay Lightning strengthened their hold on the top spot in the Eastern Conference — and in the NHL — on Saturday afternoon thanks to a wild 7-6 win shootout win over the Philadelphia Flyers in a game that saw them overcome a pair of two-goal deficits. New acquisition J.T. Miller also tallied his first goal as a member of the Lightning in the win.
